How to Dress the First Day of Work for Men?

It could be a very important thing when choosing the right outfit for your entry into office. As we all know, first impressions are very important. The way your colleagues see you can have an impact on your first impression and image. This is definitely something to consider when you are preparing for this first big day.

If your new job is with a large company, the effect that your appearance may be even more important. Many people will see you without having the opportunity to talk to you during these early days. Whether you like it or not, colleagues, peers, subordinates, and superiors may already have an idea about you before you even meet based on your body language, mannerisms and dress.

That being said, how should you dress for the first day? Of course, it all depends on the type of job, but there are certainly some tips you should consider when preparing for your first days at this new job.

BE CONSERVATIVE
Respect the basic masculine or formal colors. The classic blue, gray or brown suits are always good. Stay true to professional jackets and cheap pants. Although you want to impress - do it with a good custom suit that makes any color look phenomenal anyway. Try to avoid an accessory that will tag you for the rest of your time in this new venture. For example, if you choose to wear suspenders on the first day, you could be known as the "suspender guy" and will stick to it for a very long time!

DO NOT WEAR TOO MANY ACCESSORIES
If you find yourself too extravagant with accessories such as ties, wallets or socks, you can scare people more serious and conservative.

The first few days should not be a way to display too many bright colors and you may want to wait before putting on a bowtie. Focusing on accessories may seem like you are trying to do too much.

TAILORED SUIT
You can compensate for the conservative approach with nice tailor-made men fashion suits. Most conservative colors can be very pretty if they are at the waist. Very often, people confuse "made to measure" with "very tight". Try to avoid that - and by the way, who wants to feel like a sausage all day at work?

Over time, you will understand what your office is when it comes to style. By meeting people and colleagues from various levels of society, you will begin to see what people with different roles and positions usually carry. Of course, you must keep your personality in your style. If it happens that you are ultra elegant, you will adapt more easily as time goes by!
